About the publication
AutoIndex24
AutoIndex24 is an independent research publication covering the US automotive market. The site exists to make public-record automotive data legible — what owners actually report to regulators, what the EPA and NHTSA test, what the used-car market actually charges, with explicit sample sizes and source citations on every page.
Editorial team
The desk is structured as a research operation rather than a consumer review site. We do not test cars, do not accept press-fleet vehicles, and do not run sponsored content.

What we publish
- Reports. Flagship multi-section analyses on a single market question.
- Studies. Self-contained statistical investigations of one make+year+region cohort.
- Briefs. Short data-led updates triggered by a new snapshot or a regulatory event.
- Indices. Named composite metrics computed on the same schedule as the underlying snapshots.
What we don’t publish
- Personal vehicle reviews or driving impressions.
- Forecasts that are not derived from explicit historical data.
- Sponsored placements, regardless of disclosure.
- Estimates without an n-value and a reproducible source. Every figure on the site is recomputable from the methodology page.
